      Barney Lodge provides a welcomed change of pace to a hectic city life. 
      Located only 90 minutes from Brisbane or the Gold Coast and removed from
      any main roads, Mt Barney Lodge attracts an array of guests from the
      nature enthusiast to the adventure seeker; family groups, couples or
      corporate groups.    Mt
      Barney Lodge offers a variety of Eco-Certified accommodation to suit all
      budgets and desires.  Our accommodation includes beautiful
      Queenslander Homesteads, rustic Cabins, Deluxe Camper Trailers and a
      spacious Campground. .......whichever option you choose, be sure that your
      stay will boast spectacular, uninterrupted views of Mt Barney. Mt
      Barney Lodge was purchased by John and Jenny Larkin over 20 years ago and
      revegetated from a cleared cattle grazing property into a haven for birds,
      reptiles, wallabies and frogs.  
      The business was kept in the family, with the next generation of
      Larkin’s now living amongst and sharing this wilderness heritage.

      Only homesteads have toilets and showers contained within. 
      Cabins and Camper Trailers share the amenities with campers. •            
      Eco Accredited adventure activities such as guided walks, rock
      climbing, abseiling or kids activities 
      can be under taken for an additional cost.

      Country style catering is available for an additional cost. 
      Ethical meal options such as kangaroo or vegetarian cuisine are

      Homesteads, Cabins and Camper Trailers require a minimum of a 2

      A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. 
      Should a cancellation occur, this deposit can be refunded (-25%
      administration fee), or transferred to another booking, if your
      accommodation is rebooked. • Prices for all accommodation are standard throughout the year changeover day: Check-in time is

 surroundings: 
 Mt Barney Lodge is surrounded by World-Heritage listed National Park. The national park boasts spectacular mountain ranges, rock climbing sites, waterfalls, pristine creeks, and gorgeous bushwalking opportunities. This region is categorised as the 3rd most biodiverse region in Australia and is host to a number of threatened species such as the Glossy Black Cockatoo, Brush Tailed Rock Wallaby and plants such as the Antartic Beech. Mt Barney Lodge is surrounded by native trees and boasts fantastic examples of a sustainable garden.       Brisbane Airport is only 2 hrs drive away. 
       Near-by towns
      include Rathdowney (20minutes), Boonah and Beaudesert (45minutes). Other
      attractions in the area include Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages, Rathlogan
      Olive Grove and the Alpaca Shack – specialising in hand-woven alpaca
      products.   Car hire is
      possible from the major cities such as Brisbane and the Gold Coast. 
      Please note that there is about 3km of dirt road into the property,
      so make sure car hire companies are aware of this. 
       There are no
      public transport services to Mt Barney Lodge
