property description: heating and hot water is supplemented by solar panels on the roof, all light bulbs are low-energy, there is a wood-burning stove in the inglenook fireplace (with our own logs), all rubbish is recycled including compost, electricity is on a ‘green’ tariff, we supply eco-friendly cleaning materials and complimentary body care products, the garden is enclosed with living willow fences and the land is managed under an agri-environmental agreement. Our
accommodation: Ynys Pandy has 4 upstairs bedrooms. 2 doubles (including one with a cot), 1 twin, and 1 full-sized bunk bed. They are all individually furnished and all have an interesting selection of books to enjoy in bed! A stair gate is provided and all beds are made up ready for your arrival. The recently refitted downstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower and separate bath with a hand-held shower and is complete with shaving socket, fluffy towels and complimentary eco-friendly body care products. There is a breakfast room at one end seating 8 comfortably including a high chair, where you will find an afternoon tea of Welsh Cakes waiting for you to enjoy on your arrival. The lounge is cosy, homely and comfortable with it’s traditional beamed ceiling and inglenook fireplace housing a multi-fuel stove, including a first supply of coal, logs, sticks, firelighters and matches. The walls are lined with an eclectic mix of books including local interest/walks and maps, brochures advertising local attractions and on the desk, the weekly local newspaper. There are cupboards filled with games and jigsaws, but also it provides all the modern ‘essentials’ such as Freeview T.V., DVD, music centre and free broadband connection.. The
centrally-heated conservatory is used all year round, with a huge dining
table at one end and relaxing area the other.
On the wall is a map of surroundings: As well as the
mountains and beaches (Black Rock Sands, Criccieth and Harlech), which are
ideal for exploring, walking, climbing or relaxing, there are numerous
activities and attractions close by.
Indeed the road at the bottom of the drive is on National Cycle
Route 8 – Lon Las Cymru (check out www.sustrans.org.uk
