rosa blanca property description: Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn is situated above the beautiful Central Valley of Costa Rica. Surrounded by towering “Higuerón” trees and exotic flora, the Inn offers spectacular views of volcanoes, cloud forests and coffee plantations. Here at 4000 feet above sea level on a temperate plateau of extraordinary beauty, is grown some of the world’s best coffee in the lush volcanic soil. Nestled in 10 acres amid hundreds of fruit trees and dramatic tropical flora is the enchanted Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn, a jewel crowning a picturesque knoll. The extraordinary hillside infinity swimming pool provides luxuriant bathing and is surrounded by tropical gardens, secluded decks and shaded verandas where guests can sunbathe and enjoy the magnificent
vistas. The spring fed pool features chemical free water and a 12-foot cascading waterfall. Each sunny morning you will wake to an exquisite breakfast, replete with freshly brewed organic coffee grown in our plantation and succulent mango, papaya, pineapple and bananas from the Inn’s own organic orchards. The Inn is renowned for its fine cuisine, prepared with care and creativity from the bounty of its fruit orchards and organic greenhouse vegetable and herb garden. Chef Pedro Alas welcomes the curious gourmand into his kitchen to share the secrets and techniques of nouvelle Costa Rican Cuisine. The Chef draws on Costa Rican and international culinary arts, using local fresh seafood and organic meats and poultry to create a menu that changes daily. The elegant four-course dinners, offered to our guests exclusively, are set around the inviting, intimate free-form fireplace with inspiring views of the Central Valley below. Since 1985, when we began our project at Finca Rosa Blanca, we have always had one important goal in mind: to leave the minimum possible trace of our existence. Since the beginning of our adventure on this property, we have concentrated on an ambitious plan of recycling and regeneration, social consciousness and education. Our recycling activities include a complete recycling of food waste to fertilizers by using two systems: Because of these efforts, we have been awarded the maximum five green leaves from the Costa Rican Tourist Board for our compliance with the CST (Certification for Sustainable Tourism), a new program to encourage Ecological and Sustainable Tourism in this country. We are proud that we have obtained the highest score of all participating hotels in Costa Rica. We also recycle all of our waste products that are non-organic; glass and bottles, plastics, cardboard, metal and newspapers and have a complete recycling zone for this purpose located below the horse stables. Please ask if you would like to visit this facility. We chose the brand of many of our products based on the provider company’s commitment to recycling their own products.
