Beiras Litoral region of beautiful central Portugal, known as the 'green
heart' of Portugal. Surrounded by pine and eucalyptus forests the
cottage is the perfect retreat for those looking to relax and wind down,
there are endless possibilities for walking, rambling and hiking.
Located in the small hamlet Tres Postos only a 10 minute from the town
Castanheira de Pera.
accommodation:
The accommodation consists of 2 large double bedrooms with reclaimed
hard wood floors and double glazed window overlooking the garden and
woodland. A separate modern ground floor bathroom with shower, vanity
unit and toilet. The toilet is serviced by a 3 chamber soak-away which
fertilizes the olive and fruit trees on the terraces below. There is a
spacious open plan lounge diner with satellite TV and DVD player, 2
sofas, dining table and 4 chairs. There is a large fully equipped modern
kitchen with energy efficient appliances. Water for the most part is
supplied by the village communal bore hole, municipal water is also
available should communal water become unavailable. A doorway from the
lounge leads to the garden terrace and bbq area with table chairs and
sun umbrella overlooking fruit trees and woodland. To the front of the
cottage beside the kitchen there is a small raised bed of herbs which
guests are encouraged to pick and use when cooking. All linen and towels
provided, all gas and electric included. Small domestic pets allowed by
prior arrangement only.
Changeover day is flexible dependent on other bookings.
