The Quinta is located in Covas, just a few miles from Vila Nova De Cerveira, the pretty walled town situated on the banks of the River Minho, which forms the northern border between Portugal and Spain. A recently built bridge enables guests to drive across to the Spanish region of Galicia, which has many interesting places to visit. The farm has been used in the past to provide Bed and Breakfast accommodation, and has several outbuildings, which could be converted to provide further accommodation.

and three bathroom farmhouse. The house is built of schist stone over
a foot thick and of a beautiful gold and red hue, the schist breathes
and retains heat in the winter and cool in the summer.
Main floor has a spacious kitchen with built in oak and chestnut

efficient fireplace. Upstairs three large bedrooms and three
bathrooms, two ensuite. All floors and bathrooms are done in
terracotta tiles with accent tiles in kitchen, step risers and

The back of the house open onto a large granite paved patio that was once a threshing floor and catches the sun all day. The farm directly below the house is
approximately 2 hectares and is terrace with large open fields as
well. There is an old farmhouse, smaller house, two barns and an
old mill for renovation. Olive, chestnut and various fruit
trees. The farm could be certified organic as pesticides have
never been used. Present owners kept horses, pigs and goats in
the past. Several of the terraces have been organic kitchen
gardens.
